The Youth Peace Forum is a group of learners who work hand in hand to promote peace and reduce poverty. They attend four workshops every year which are held at the Methodist Church in Durban to meet other Youth Peace Forum groups from different schools. They study about the importance of humanity, donating to the less fortunate and also socialise with people, which boosts a person’s self-esteem and perhaps self-confidence.

The Youth Peace Forum is significant to the school since they clean the premises by picking up waste material, clean the statue of founder Abbot Francis, located near the staffroom. They work hand in hand with their schoolmates by donating needy products such as food, towels, and cosmetics to Jabulani Centre home for children located in Mariannhill.

This significant forum also collects cans which they use to enter the Collect-A-Can competition. In 2016 they came second and won cash prizes. They used this to organise a visit to the St Vincent Children’s Home and they were delightfully welcomed.

The Youth Peace forum also hosts cake sales, which is a strategy used for raising funds. These are funds that help to bring more offering to the people to whom they donate to.
